Can Barrera pull this one off?

After the demolition job done by pacman to this boxer last year many people thought that it's over for him and he's going to retire! But after the wounds had healed, and had done some rethinking he decided to fight the non-active ayala and won convincingly via knockout - to some this win was not that impressive! Barrera has just regained his confidence again and months before the announcement of his fight with morales, had shown interest in fighting pacquiao saying he wanted to avenge his defeat with him. What had happened all of a sudden was a third fight with morales in the offing leaving pacquiao fighting no one.

Morales who has been getting better and better everyday and who had been campaigning in a heavier category now looks unbeatable! But every fighter has his nemesis, right? Is Barrera Morales' nemesis? Even if he's looking good in most of his fights, he seems to loose all of this dominance when he fights Barrera who seem to know Morales from inside and out and knows how to win over this fighter.

Morales has said that he's going to put a period, to this rivalry, can he duplicate what the pacman had done to Barrera? This would mean that by doing exactly that, Barrera had truly lost it and should put his gloves to rest!

Im pretty damn sure, this could be a great fight! And right after this, could be a lot of opportunities for some fighters like larios, injin-chi, harrison, marquez and pacquiao which could be talked about in the near future.

We wouldn't know what would happen, really! Will Morales go to 135 after beating Barrera? If Barrera wins, which fighter he wnats next? Wait and see.. this is exciting!

I think Barrera is too old to get into another war. I think his best chance is to use his technique to try and outbox Morales.

MAB is absolutely the underdog on this fight, everything is going against him, size, age, speed etc., but you can never count someone out like MAB a true warior, plus the fact that they are fighting for pride & honor not to mention bad blood between EM & MAB, I think if MAB can avoid getting KTFO, he can win a close decision....

If I had to pick between the two right now I would pick Morales but I would never count Barrera out especially against Morales. These two seem to really hate each other and I don't care if Morales looks unbeatable in previous fights and Barrera looks horrible in previous fights these two will always give each other hell for 12 rounds. I wouldn't be surprised if Barrera won. I thought he won the first and second fights so it wouldn't surprise me at all.

i know this will be a good fight but i dont know if barrera can walk away the winner. the fact that hes going up to 130 may be his downfall, i mean barrera is only 5'6 for gods sake, if he does'nt carry the weight well then we may see a ko in the late rounds. i think morlaes wins either way.

            hmmmm
i think he has enough left in him to go to one more war
he should come out and give everything he has left
cuz this fight is for everything
            unfortuantly
if it does become a war
it may take too much out of barrera for him to be able to take on manny again
so i do see a slim chance of him winning this one
but that chance is made smaller by the fact that morales has been so strong and dominant of his opponents too

the guy is only 30. i don't understand why you say he is too old. i agree that he will need to outbox him though. just because he loses a few fights doesn't mean he should hang it up. when he gets ktfo a few times in a row he should consider it

Barrera is not Morales' nemesis, it's the other way around. MAB will never be the same fighter as when they first fought in which I gave him the decision by the slimmest of margins. No way he'll win against a prime Morales at this weight and this point in his career. If he gets ktfo, which I think he would be, he'll hang the gloves no doubt.

Barrera gets KTFO this time around. MAB is a true warrior but in that Ayala fight he was hit way too much by an old slow warrior. Morales is going to put an exclamation point on this fight.

I love Barrera for his heart, but more for his total dismantling of Naseem. Unfortunately, the "fight" with PacMan was not an illusion, it was a precurosr to this rematch.

Barrera .... KO'd in ugly fashion = retirement.
