It's understandable how a Mexican would get offended if another Mexican or Chicano picks Cotto or any other fighter of a different nationality over a Mexican fighter. Most of us latin dudes are like that, but I can also understand the situation where you would choose in this case a fighter who appeals to you more just like Valenzuela said, he likes Cotto's style and fight plan more than Tony's. The problem I see here is that most people, specially Cottosexuals are dragging Tony's name to the ground as if he was some C-Class bum who Cotto is just going to dispose of like a dirty rag doll. That will not be the case and you will all eat your words come July 26th, let's see how many excuses the Ricans and Cottosexuals will come up the day after.
Im Mexican and going for Cotto. Yeah, you read it right!

Im a total sell out.......Im set to graduate with a bachelors in August and will pursue my masters. Yep, im a sell out.
How about i take on the fernado vargas route and pump my fist on my chest and procalim myself the authortiy on what is and what is not Mexican.
Talk is cheap, the streets of full of dudes who talk about brown pride, but will do nothing to advance us.
I prove my love for my people by not joining a gang, getting a masters degree and providing a positive example for the youth in my community.
Im Mexican, thats who iam . I was born here, but thats my blood and i dont feel im different than any other mexicano who has just arrived. I dont believ in divisons between our people.
I never would call myself hispanic or latino, i would be dissin our own blood, whether its Aztec, Maya or taino.
Any more assumptions you want cleared out?Comment
