All kidding aside... Hatton needs a new trainer

The guy just isn't getting better in the areas that he needs to. Billy Graham has done a good job of steering Ricky to this point. You can't argue with 43-1, with the loss being to Mayweather.

But if Ricky wants to fight another 5 or 6 fights, he needs to switch it up.

Frankly, the Hatton that fought today would ALSO get beat by Bradley. Probably knocked out.

i was saying the same thing, i think hatton needs to freshen things up, i think him and graham have peaked as a team.

if hatton sticks with him until the end, hey cool, and no disrespect to graham but i think that hatton has become a bit stale. i thought his balance and defense were poor this evening.

I give Hatton and his fans alot of stick. But the reality is that I'm a boxing fan, and I do want to see guys improve and i want to see good fights and good work in the ring.

Arturo Gatti showed marked late-career improvement in his boxing abilities. And he is probably less athletic than Ricky. And Arturo had a better chin, so he could more afford to brawl.

Ricky can still get better at moving his head and not lunging in.

He's an impulsive fighter, I think he will always do that, and he will keep throwing that wild hook that will get him knocked out again. In the heat of battle and all that.

Ricky Hatton's brother actually has a better defence but absolutely nothing in the way of offence. lol

Personally i think Bradly is too green right now but i see 2-3 fights down the line he would proberbly stop Hatton. You make some valid points, Hatton really needs to improve his defense especially in the head of head movement. If he could avoid getting hit coming in then he would be safe for the most part. His jumping left hook whilst effective against some fighters (maussa) isn't against others, he needs to know when to use it and when not to.

Co-sign. He does what he does and it will either work or fail him. Not much room for improvement.
