I wouldn't have ever imagined it to be possible against Chop Chop.

So explain to me two things. What was the referee supposed to do about the loose lace and how was Lazcano going to summon the energy to finish Hatton off he was still too tired to throw a meaningful punch over, according to you, a minute later.

You are supposed to handle things like loose tape, laces, etc when there is a break in the action.

If mayweather was in trouble, and the ref stopped it for a minute plus to allow for 'shoelace therapy', this board would explode and crash the server.

There would be 20 threads demanding that the ref be permanently banned.

Are you referring to the round that Floyd didn't even lose? That round?

As I've explained countless times... you wait until a legitimate break in the action. He separated the fighters, whatever, fine, ok. Then you stand the **** back and let them go back to work. You don't give a hurt fighter time to recover.

The fastest mile time I ever ran was when my shoe came untied w/ about 1/4 mile to go. An untied shoe is not the end of the world.

And I didn't say he was too tired to throw more meaningful punches. He felt he didn't have to. Hatton was given so long that he had obviously shaken the stars from around his head and Lazcano knew it was pointless to spend more energy trying to knock him out/down when he was no longer hurt.

what made the whole thing so terrible was that lazcano was warned, but what the **** for? and THEN he decided hatton should tie his shoe at what might have been a turning point in the fight.

Aye, I wish this had been on HBO, so the ref would've been mic'd. I really wanted to hear what he had to say when he stopped the action and lectured them non-stop Every. ****ing. Round.

Why was Juan Lazcano warned anyway? I would just like to know.
