To be clear on things, you guys are suggesting that Hatton was hurt as in he was about to be stopped or put on the canvas. I'm saying he wasn't hurt as in he was never going down. He may have been briefly stunned or dazed but that was over before it started.Comment

You're usually a top notch poster and I respect your views, but to say that Hatton wasn't hurt is just being foolish.Comment

Given the time he was allowed to recover, if Lacazo was allowed to continue fighting Hatton could have easily been knocked down from a couple of more solid shots... after that, who knows. Maybe he would've been KO'd or TKO'd, but that's obviously speculation because of the ref's actions, which is the shame in all of this.Comment

This is a question of definition. Obviously I wouldn't deny Hatton was stunned or dazed but I certainly don't agree with the suggestion that he was badly hurt or about to go down.Comment

You are not accurately describing what happened. You are making it sound as if Lazcano was laying into Hatton who was about to go down when the ref intervened for no reason. This is not what happened. You are also emitting the fact that when the action resumed Lazcano was too tired to throw any punches so how exactly he was going to knock Ricky Hatton out 20 seconds earlier when he had not had any rest is anyone's guess.Given the time he was allowed to recover, if Lacazo was allowed to continue fighting Hatton could have easily been knocked down from a couple of more solid shots... after that, who knows. Well, we're not in a court here- we're not getting that specific. The definitions don't have to line up with your personal vocab, you know? When somebody says Hatton was hurt, I'm pretty sure that you can deduce what he meant, even if you personal idea of hurt doesn't match up with it.Comment

Can u ever imagine Floyd Mayweather being hurt and stumbling and being rescued against Juan Lazcano?Comment

Of course he was tired. And then disheartened to boot, as he had his opponent visibly hurt, but as he was given a minute to recover he knew pursuing the action would be pointless. You are not accurately describing what happened.
