Lockett: "Pavlik Ain't No Mayweather, Cotto or Calzaghe"

UK middleweight Gary Lockett feels that WBC/WBO champion Kelly Pavlik is a very predictible fighter. He says that Pavlik is nothing special and possesses a limited skill level. In the opinion of Lockett, Pavlik is only good at coming forward and trying to overwhelm his opponent with a high punch output, but he doesn't feel the Youngstown fighter is accurate with a lot of the shots and doesn't think he's capable of changing his strategy in the middle of a fight. As much as I love Kelly, he isn't entirely wrong. That said, Kelly is going to murder Lockett.

he's not wrong, he's 10% right. shame about the other 90%, including the difference in power, chin, staimina, heart, jab, composure, right hand......

How does Lockett know this? Kelly could keep improving with each fight and I just can't wait for Kelly to knock him out!

              War Lockett!

Lockett has been sparring with Enzo Maccarinelli for power and Joe Calzaghe for speed. They must have something worked out.

It doesn't matter if he is sparring with the best fighters of all time, he simply does not have enough to beat Pavlik.

Pavlik isn't a superior boxer. His power and heart are huge. But he has poor defensive skills, and no uppercut, and his body punching doesn't exist.

                    But he will still win.
