face it all time greats don't struggle with over the hill 43 year olds and look like utter **** in their first real challenge.
bollox Hopkins was outboxed, he was lucky to get a s/d.
Does'nt it show he's an ATG by the fact he beat another ATG outside his own country, in front of foreign judges and a ref and did it clearly even though he was'nt at his best. He beat Hopkins clearly even though he got knocked down early and was in 3rd gear

I REPEAT thats why all the boxing media and a ton of professional fighters have came out saying hopkins won not to mention the countless number of fans who know who "clearly" won

saying bollox doesn't make it not true. these are facts. if he clearly beat hopkins you must have glaucoma.

name names of the boxing media and professional fighters because i have not seen many apart from the hopkins arse lickers

You dont win fights by head butting and throwing 4 punches a round especially if the opponent is hitting you more than any other fighter has hit you in your career

names? look on all the sites you will find countless articles of writers and pro fighters saying hopkins won you must not follow boxing very closely but i also think your lying and just can't face the truth so it doesn't really matter. as for hitting hopkins more than any other fighter in his career that is laughable rewatch the fight but CLOSELY. calzaghe did not land **** compubox boy. not one clean punch the whole fight. going back and actually scoring landed punches which many members of boxingscene have done they have found comubox was way off so that point is null in void. you don't win fights by slapping at the air like a windmill thats why his fellow pros don't respect calzaghe's fight game. they don't want some guy stealing the fight just for throwing and missing more. fact is calzaghe got away with an undeserved win cause of his future potential as a star in the sport and to hbo.

              Daggum: you're talking ****.

If you or anyone thinks Hopkins won that fight; that includes all the boxing journalists you can find who agree with you and all the posters who'll back you up, then you don't know how to score a fight.

Calzaghe didn't land many clean punches, but even his clean punches doubled the number of punches Hopkins landed. **** know how much more if you count semi-clean punches. Calzaghe was the aggressor for virtually every minute of the fight, while Hopkins sat back in a fetal position. Hopkins faked being lowblowed at least twice, either acting hurt to buy himself some breathing room or actually hurt from other punches landed, because there is no ****ing way he was hurt from having a glove brush against his groin. Especially considering how little Joe's punches hurt him apparantly. Aside from this, Hopkins cheated throughout the fight, butting, holding on the inside and using his elbows. Sure, he landed the cleaner punches when he threw and he did score a beautiful knockdown, but that isn't enough.

Calzaghe put in a bad performance on the night. He wasn't the accurate puncher he has been in other fights and he was sloppy with his technique, but he still clearly won the fight. No way does an entirely negative, three punch a round cheat beat a sloppy, swarm puncher. You could argue that Calzaghe's performance didn't merit a victory, but it merited a victory so much more than anyone can claim for Hopkins.

not exactly a balanced story abadger.....

no mention of the time wasted fighting bikas, manfredos and pudwills....

But Joe has proved himself to be the greatest SMW ever if not the best (Jones would tip him a new one)

shutup fool. a lot more credible people in boxing thought hopkins won the fight than thought calzaghe won. maybe it is you who need to learn how to score a fight. the only thing you can say is hopkins cheated but thats not a scoring criteria being aggressive but missing isn't either. learn how to score its called clean punching. now that's talking **** twinkletoes.

Not that I'll divulge who I am, so doubt me all you want, but I'm a sports journalist and I'm a boxing specialist. I've taken qualifications in how to score a boxing fight. So please don't tell me how to score a fight. I agree that being aggressive but missing isn't a scoring criteria, but while Calzaghe did miss he also hit Hopkins with many, many semi-clean and clean punches. The simple reason Calzaghe won was he landed more punches. Scruffy, semi-clean that some of them were, he still landed them.
