Hide in Europe? what are you talking about? nobody would fight Calzaghe in the U.S including RRJ and Hopkins after he hounded them for a fight many years ago in Calzaghes prime. So don't give me that bull****. It's common knowledge RJJ dodged Calzaghe all them years ago, he's even admitted it in an interview go and YouTube.

      .

On top of that, he will only take a risky fight if it's in his hometown. Back when RJJ was in his prime, he wouldn't travel to the US to make the fight. Now that RJJ is washed up, he's more than willing to consider the fight because RJJ would have to go to the UK for it to happen. The Lacy and Kessler fights don't happen if they didn't agree to fight on Calzaghe's turf.

Joke Calzaghe is just not a P4P level fighter...[/QUOTE]now that jones is washed up,hes more than willing to get a beating, how desperate is jones to reclaim his long gone glory man its makes me squirm, and u neglect to mention the fact that jones never entertained the idea of leaving home turf,it works both ways oh the irony,,,,,,

DISCLAIMER: I don't really believe any of this. I'm just using it to make a point about the validity of Sin's argument. You can break a record down like that for any fighter. Even the best in the world.
Has any fighter Calzaghe has beaten gone on to have great career afterwards?

Calzaghe is the most overrated fighter I've ever seen.

Calzaghe is a late bloomer in terms of gaining his glory. We'll have to see how Kessler does when all these promotional problems are cleared up for him.

And the same could still be said for Mayweather.

Career destroyer, Legend destroyer call him what you want...Kessler could have been great, Lacy (the yanks said he was the best thing since sliced bread b4 the Calzaghe fight) could have been great...but we'll never know because they met Joe and Joe sent them their P45 first class.

He's a "late bloomer" because it takes years to build your name beating on bums. If Calzaghe had the exact same resume, but let's say he was fighting in 2 or 3 divisions and didn't have the streak of defenses, then people would think he's a bum. Even you would have to agree with that. Real P4P fighters reach the top of the sport at an earlier age because they do it by beating the best not by feeding off of a flow of mismandatories and handpicked opponents...
