      ...just saying.
Also the fact that Hatton was bringing 10k of fans buying tickets to see him fight prior to his American debut, making your name in America doesn't mean ****...you only need to look at Floyd Mayweather to see that...he doesn't sell tickets...Hatton does.... how??...because the UK fan base is 100X better than the rest of the world.

I considered stopping reading when you mentioned Calzaghe under the term 'garbage fighters'. Hate his style, question the volume of his resume or whatever man, but it's a fact that he is an undefeated, two-weight world champion who has names like Eubank, Kessler and Hopkins on his resume. Whether you think he even won against Hopkins doesn't matter, because no-one can claim Hopkins beat him by much, if they claim Hopkins beat him at all and coming close to beating Bernard Hopkins, let alone beating him means you aren't a 'garbage fighter'.

I disagree with your opinion on everyone else you listed too, but what you said about Calzaghe is so outrageously idiotic that I had to call you up on it.

Anyone else sick of these UK vs US threads?

Calzaghe is a feather fisted over protected bum! Amir Khan is a glass chinned duplicate of the biggest fake of all Naseem Hamed! Now comes David Haye. America remember this post! He is a fake! The UK fighters are well managed and over protected. Look at who Joe C has fought. He fought Jeff Lacy and and 70 year old Bernard Hopkins! Now he's looking to fight Roy Jones? Why not prove you are what you claim and fight someone like Kelly Pavlik,Chad Dawson or hell, I'll settle for Jermain Taylor even though I don't think he's a A Class fighter he's at least dangerous. I will bet anyone that if any of those fighters the UK are over EVER step up in class they all get sent back home in shame like Frank Bruno,Naseem Hamed and Ricky Hatton. The good thing is they come home to the World's Greatest Fans and you still love them to pieces!
This is so obviously a troll thread. Please don't even respong to this, everyone. Mod should lock.

          Thanks

It seems 99% of the threads for UK haters are started by fat yanks, I think they actually feel threatened by the British Invasion, and the fact that at the moment American boxing is dead. Mexican, Rican and British fighters are owning the show.

Boxers boxing and fans talking about them is in no way 'shoving them down your throat' dude, its what boxers and fans do, and you could do with either upping your tolerance levels a little or broadening your horizons a lot.
Lets be clear about something. I no boxing fan of the US or the UK! I'm a fan of boxing! What annoys me is all the hype that comes from the UK about these fighters with fluffed up records and how they are going to clean out their respective divisions . They are usually sheltered from real competition or they fall short. I love the fighters from Russia actually because they are willing to fight the toughest fighters and they either provide good fights or the do as expected and win. There are a few that fall short but , most are the real deal. The US has its share of flops as well. You name one fighter from the UK that has been the star he was supposed to be.

If I'm not mistaken I think the UK has more unified champions than the US.

Boxing is riddled with hype jobs. Lacy, Jermain Taylor, Paul Williams. By contrast, the British fighters I think you are refering to have substantial trousers to back their mouths.

Calzaghe - Undefeated Ring SMW + LHW Champ - The man at those weights
Hatton - Ring JWW Champ - Undefeated until Mayweather - The man at JWW
Haye - Ring CW Champ - The man at cruiser

Its not really hype when you're talking about recognised, linear champs my friend. Its just fact. That you fail to recognise this indicates to me there is something more than just appreciation of boxing at work in your opinion, and it smells like heavy bias.

Well I suppose I'm that 1% that actually DO NOT hate the UK! I also would like to add that I'm far from fat...LOL .You are severely disillusioned if you actually feel that there is an invasion coming from Britain. That hasn't happened since the Beatles! As I stated, Hatton,Calzaghe,Haye,Khan,Hamed,Bruno, are all bums! Lennox Lewis is the only real champion coming from the UK in RECENT history. Prove otherwise!
