YOU THINK PEOPLE REALLY CARE BOUT MARQUEZ OR PACQUIAO? NO! THEY CARE THAT THEY KNEW THEY WERE GOING TO PAY TO WATCH A GREAT FIGHT NOTHING MORE. PEOPLE KNOW THEY ARE GOING TO GET A GREAT FIGHT WITH MARGARITO VS COTTO SO THEY WILL BUY. I PROMISE YOU!

They will buy.... Me and you will buy.

But all together, the total of me and you and a buncha others will be 200-270k, not a big number. In 2006, Morales-Pacquiao barely did more PPV's then Baldomir-Mayweather. In other words, great fights don't always sell.

Again, why didn't the people tune in for Margarito-Cintron?? That's a quality fight.

He is asking you what if Cotto does beat Margarito and goes on to win a few more fights. Surely at some point he coud lose but for arguments sake lets say he doesn't lose.......what then??????
If Cotto Built on His Legacy by beating Margarito and winning a few more Meaningful fights.

And Floyds Stayed Semi-Retired and not fought him.....

I would say that he misjudged the impact that fight could of had on his legacy.....

He is already ATG right Now.....

But if Cotto built himself to be a great fighter and not just a young deserving fighter and Floyd didn't come out of semi-retirement to fight him....

Then In my opinion Floyd Really miss a chance to probably cement himself higher on the ATG list...

cmon, you know numbers dont indicate how exciting a fight is. you know DAMN well Floyd isnt perceived as the most exciting fighter to watch by casual fans who have seen him in action. not even you would be that fanatical to claim otherwise.

You are an Insane Floyd fan.

Why insane? Bacuase you want me to think like you but I don't.

Sure Floyd had great fights in the lower weights but since he came up those where bore fest. Floyd Hatton Got me mad with Floyd because I was Rooting for him but pisses me off every time he uses his elbows at the same time the Hatton punch hug style.

But Floyd vs OScar, Judah, Mitchell , BArdomir, Bruseles where so ****ing boring. IMO

First off Horus why do you insist on using 20inch bold font.....I read your stuff when it isn't in that format but when you go that route I just past right by.

Anyway to my point, anyone else hear the guy at the end of the video say in spanish......Good Night Miguel? I thought that was funny. Also the height difference looked bigger in this presser, anyone else think so to?

                  Fair enough:

I said something like that as well in 2 of my threads:

How does A Cotto victory enhance Floyd's Legacy?

                  http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=178430

                  AND

Is floyd waiting for Cotto to become Great?

                  http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=167562

In reality I'm just killin' time pushing peoples buttons with these threads. I think if and when Cotto defeats Margarito, this fight needs to happen. After that, Floyd is free to do whatever he wants imo.

floyd vs. hatton was somewhat exciting an entertaining. but ask any casual fan who watched the baldomir or dlh fight and they'll let you know.

why were the fans booing and leaving the baldomir fight? thats proof of how boring the fight was isnt it? how do you think that reflected on the people watching at home? merchant's blatant dismissal of his performance didnt help either.

why are boxing fans criticizing the dlh rematch? why is it that whenever that fight is mention in articles, its always accompanied with "a fight fans arent happy with" or "not what boxing fans are really lookin foward to" etc.

these are all solid signs of the lack of excitement those fights generated.

the simple fact is, suckers tuned in because they expected an exciting fight. thats what was sold to them right? Mayweather said, "im gonna slaughter DLH" and people believed him. unfortunately, it didnt pan out that way.

You want to talk about numbers? OK

Did you know Cotto vs MOsley sell more PPV's that Floyd vs Judah?
What was Floyd's first PPV at what fight(#) and what was Cotto's first PPV.

Floyd vs Hatton and Floyd vs Oscar sold the way they did because of their Fan base (OScar and Hatton Of course)

And if any you wanted to see a Super PPV event it would have been Hatton vs Oscar before their fight with Floyd (you know since they lose to him)

That **** would have sold so much PPV's that to break it you would have to put Britney vs Hilton in a ring fighting in things.
