It was strongly suggested by both parties that Lewis and Roy Jones wanted to meet the November after the Vitali fight.

Lewis and Steward give a date for Roy Jones or any another possible opponent for a fight in November.

If you mean Lewis wasn't interested in boxing after Vitali beat him up than I would agree. I also wouldn't rule out the possiblity that Vitali had something to do with it.

I agree with Vitali. That was his fight.

I think we can sum up Vitali pretty easily by knowing that his best performance is a loss against an old, post prime Lewis who barely trained and looked gassed after 2 rounds.

He's lucky the Doctor called it off or his eye might have been stuck to the end of Lewis' glove

            Vitali lost, fair and square.

BUT any other occasion like this, and I do mean ANY, where a fight ends like this on cuts with one fighter having a nice scorecard lead, and begging to continue and unhurt beyond the cuts, and there's ALWAYS a rematch. Lennox had a three-fight plan going into the Vitali fight, and of course he decided after that to retire and turn down a 20 million dollar payday for the rematch. So Vitali has somewhat of a point. There's a lot of Klitschko hate on all boxing boards, but if the situation was reversed, or the names changed, I can assure you the sentiment which is anti-Vitali would be very different.

he had a three fight plan? against who? I heard he was going to retire before the fight but took it at short notice.

Lewis got KO'd by 1 punch twice, Wlad always gets up. Plus Wlad is the stronger man, he beat lewis by KO.

Lennox Lewis had the misfortune of being on the wrong side of two of the best punches I can recall in heavyweight boxing. Nobody, I repeat nobody, has beaten Lennox Lewis up.

Wladimir Klitschko has been on the wrong side of some bad beatings, most notably the Corrie Sanders fight. Ever since then, he's been very tentative and gunshy. Lennox Lewis never was gun shy, even in rematches against people who knocked him out.

Compare Lewis' efforts against Rahman and McCall in the rematches to Klitschko's rematch with Lamon Brewster. No comparison, Lewis came back better than ever. Klitschko was more concerned with not getting knocked out.

Lewis>>>>>Wladimir Klitschko, and it's not even close.

I liked Vitali as a boxer but he lost and it's time to move on. Don't be a poor sport.
