I don't know if you're making these odds up or if they're from a bookie, but if Pavlik's -2500, Lockett should be +1250.

+900 would be against a -1350 fav or thereabouts.

I disagree. I think Lockett is far more likely to be intimidated and dominated because of the big stage. Pavlik doesn't seem the type to underestimate anybody. Mostly because he's the one that's been underestimated. He knows he's still got more to prove.

I would expect heavy betting on the under i think. I might consider betting over depending on those odds. But i would not touch either of those numbers

I know...I just don't think the theory you put forward applies so much to THIS fight... In some big "mismatches", possibly.... But probably not with Pavlik v Lockett.

As in slim to none, do you mean that Fields has a better chance of losing to Monte Barrett then Lockett has of beating Pavlik?

The only way lockett beats Pavlik is if Lockett some how can throw quick hard punches from the opening bell, which I doubt he can. I think for an underdog like Lockett, he won't be able to win a ud over him so he should just let his hands go all the time until pavliks face is on the canvas... Though I hardly see that happening since I bet you once Lockett steps in the ring he'll crap himself while Pavlik will be the ones throwing the quick hard punches.
