Ok, he obviously is skilled, but not enough to get the praise he gets. Put him in the ring with somebody like RJJ and watch him get embarrassed.

RJJ would lose to Calzaghe at this stage of his career, even in his prime it would have been a close fight, RJJ has never been in the ring with someone like Calzaghe. Calzaghe alters his style when he needs to, if thats not a sign of a great fighter I don't know what is. I have never seen a fighter been so hammered before each fight, being told he will get knocked out etc and end up winning by a wide margin.

Calzaghe has NEVER fought anybody who is even close to as good as Roy was in his prime. Prime for Prime Calzaghe would get knocked out. These days Calzaghe would lose a UD. He only beat a 43 yr old man by 2 rounds at the most. Roy has the skills, speed and power to beat Jor then AND now.

Oh please a prime Roy Jones is overrated, he hand picked alot of opponents, a green Hopkins made Roy look ordinary. So you think Johnson and Tarver are better than Calzaghe at the moment? Calzaghe won that 8 rounds of that fight, people can't score fights because they think a more meaningful punch is worth more than 5 punches? Calzaghe outlanded Hopkins every single round of that fight, was more active and considering Calzaghe doesn't study fighters before he fights them he adjusted and found him out after a couple of rounds. Hopkins was the no1 rated Light Heavyweight at the time and age doesn't matter he destroyed Tarver, who wait? destroyed Roy twice. Jog On...

            Jones handpicked opponents???

Who the **** has Calzaghe beat worth mentioning?? An old Eubank, an overrated Jeff Lacy, Kessler, and a 43yr old over the hill Hopkins. You say a green Hopkins made Roy look ordinary. Are you forgetting that Roy won that fight 116-112 on all scorecards. which is the closest anybody came to beating him in his prime. Or are you forgetting how he completely outclassed James Toney who was rated VERY highly at the time until Roy embarrassed him!!

            Yall must have forgot!

You don't seriously think that Roy could beat Hopkins now?

                An old Eubank? 31 dude.

This is another "bait Joe Calzaghe fans" thread.
