Listen Holmes, Just because it common, doesnt mean its right.

You telling me its healthy to dehydrate and drain that much, then put on a stone in weight in around 24-48 hours?

Ps. Margarito fought at 154 because that was his proper boxing class, till he lost to daniel santos and realised he couldnt cut it with the top guys at 154 where his power was less of an issue.

Imagine Margarito vs Forrest right now at 154, margarito would get slaughtered.

he didnt fight 154 until he lost to DS.. he has had fights below 147 and above it.

when he fought Santos he was campaining at 147 and was the WBO WW champion. he fought Santos at 154 because Santos was campaining there..

it was a rematch cuz the first fight ended in the first round by a head butt cut.

      educate yourself.

Right so margarito's true weight was 147 then, despite the fact he comes in for welterweight fights at 160 pounds?

Because he lost to Santos at 154

And got beaten at 147 by Rodney Jones and Larry Dixon didnt he?

Or was one of those at a catch weight?

        lmao.

Im not arguing that, thats obvious, its still out of order tho, and actually dangerous. Both for the guy draining and for the guy who actually comes in around welterweight. There is a potential massive power disadvantage, you have one bloke coming in at 150 and another bloke coming in at 160, thats nearly a 2 weight class difference on fight night.

Cotto puts on so much weight HBO won't even weigh him..

Don't put it all on Williams..

Cotto shouldn't be at 147 either..

Whatever, without digressing from the orginal thread topic, i personally dont agree with the amount of draining that goes on in boxing at the moment, its potentially too dangerous, the effects of dehydrating then being smacked in the head for nearly an hour can be devestating on the body and mind.

                  Now back to topic.

Ps. To the margarito ****rider, ive already told you fighters drain in boxing and its common, but that doesnt make it right, ok holmes.
