Juan Diaz Won't Underestimate Joel Casamayor

Former undisputed lightweight champion Juan Diaz admits that he underestimated Joel Casamayor when the Cuban fighter challenged Michael Katsidis in March. Diaz predicted that Casamayor would lose the bout by knockout, and like many, he based the opinion of Casa's poor performance against Jose Armando Santa Cruz last November. Now Diaz is in line to face Casamayor on September 13 in Houston, Texas. [details]

I think Casa should not underestimate Juan. After the Campbell loss, he's going to come back stronger and more focused.

I'm still going to stand by Diaz, and with the division quickly becoming the best in the sport, i hope he comes out on top...........although Guzman will be the biggest threat to anybody out there.

Juan was short of saying that he underestimated Campbell.

As a huge fan i have to agree. He underestimated him big time. Anyways if old Casamayor shows up look for him to be stopped. If its the one who beat Katsidis then i Take Diaz by a close decision

Why is Casamayor fighting a guy who got railed for his belts in his last fight, and not the guy with the belts? Does something seem wrong about this at all?

Shouldn't it be the other way around?
