The concept of earning a rematch at a weight class he has shown he does not belong in by campaigning at a lower weight is a bit foolish.

if he wants to earn it let him fight Jab Zudah
that fight there will tell you whether Hatton deserves to
fight Mayweather again. Zudah's style is close to Mayweathers
so if Hatton has shown he can beat that style then fair enough
but if he can't get past zab judah no way we want to see another
boring one sided fight (which is what it was)

to me hatton would have trouble with witter and anyone
with that style of fighting anyway ... anyone he can't
hold for long periods of time ... lol

Ricky didn't even come close in the first one. Why does he even get the idea that he has a chance in a rematch? It's not like he BARELY lost. He got destroyed and his offense was shut down.

he's trying to keep his name up there thinking he's in the class of
de la hoya, mayweather etc ... but he is a B grade fighter who
got exposed ... if he is serious about a remath he has to prove
he can handle movers, zab judah should step up .... the winner
          gets mayweather ...

If the fight ever happened, i can't see it going any other way than a mayweather win again ...... Hatton should just unify the light-welter belts and retire imo...

              Oh Ricky!!!

Hatton, needs to stop crying, it's not like he was winning that fight and got caught by a lucky punch.... He got beat, like he said his pride was very hurt, it's funny how they say preliminary talks are already underway for a possible rematch. Sometimes it makes me wonder if some of these fights are staged, supposedly after this Lascano fight, he's supposed to fight Malinaggi, and then Mayweather....While Mayweather has a fight set against Oscar....How is it that Golden Boy Promotions is already talking about a Mayweather/Hatton matchup, when the "Golden Boy" is going around saying he's gonna beat Floyd in a rematch....it makes me wonder.....Lascano is a tomatoe can at this point in his career, and Hatton should waltz right through him, then a fight with Paulie could prove to be harder for Hatton to win.... Personally, I hope that Paulie is able to beat Hatton and upset all this bs talk of a rematch ith Floyd......the fight people want to see is Mayweather/Cotto, provided Cotto can beat Maragarito, if that fight can happen, Floyd should just hang up the gloves and call it a career.

AS far as Ricky is concerned he needs to just try to stay in the 140lbs division and unify the titles, tempt Manny Pacquiao into a fight and also call it a career.

Agree, im a Hatton fan and don't wanna see him fight Mayweather again.
He needs to stay at 140 and retire without another loss.
Having only 1 loss on his record by the p4p best dose not diminish his record.

And if Hatton said he didn't want any part of Mayweather again the people with an axe to grind would ridicule him as a coward. He wants to avenge his loss and he thinks he can do it, he's working on his weaknesses and looking for a rematch with a different referee.

Right now there's a percetpion that Hatton was beaten at his own game, but on rewatching the fight that simply isn't true. The simple fact is that Ricky Hatton wasn't able to implement his own game because of twitchy refereeing and possibly some collusion between Cortez and Mayweather.

Hatton needs to fight someone like mosley or at least a judah at welter to earn a rematch.
