Hatton Vows To Earn Floyd Mayweather Rematch

The pride of Manchester, Ricky Hatton, has vowed to earn a possible rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Preliminary talks have taken place between Mayweather's team and Golden Boy Promotions, who promote Hatton, to stage the bout in 2009. Mayweather stopped Hatton un ten-rounds last December in Las Vegas. On May 24, Hatton returns for the first time since the loss against Juan Lazcano. The UK fan favorite will fight before a crowd of 50,000 fans at the City of Manchester stadium. [details]

Blah....Mayweather-Hatton 2 is more worthless than Mayweather-DLH 2 and would be the crappiest rematch in a big PPV fight since DLH-Chavez 2.

well, its good to here that he wants to earn the rematch but fighting luzcano isn't the way to do it even if he ko's him in the first round. he needs to beat atleast 2 top 5 welterweights if there should even be consideration of a rematch.

This is worthless! Hatton didn't even win a round in eyes last time they fought.

Guys, why can't you let Floyd fight Oscar, Hatton, and Cotto...in that order...and then retire at 42-0? This has been the plan for several months now. Yes, you'll have to wait until the summer of 2009 for Mayweather-Cotto, but in return for the wait you'll receive on the biggest fights in welterweight and boxing history. I, for one, am willing to wait, let this fight boil and fester for one more year, and then see a clash of the titans that the whole world will tune in to witness.

              A rematch would be pointless.

Because we're impatient and worry that one of them, especially Cotto, might lose.

Cotto's got a tough fight ahead of him in July.

If this fight happens I won't buy it and if you do buy this CRAP your a fool...I could see PBF beating ODLH and Hatton again and then just walking away..PBF is just hoping Cotto loses by then and if he does he will have that excuse...WHAT GARBAGE
