It was Judah who ws doing the begging for the FMJ fight not the other way around. But still if Baldo is a bum and won on luck that means Judah still had some pull in the divison and FMJ would have had to beat both Baldo and Judah to be the real champ. If he just beats Baldo people would say Baldo got lucky and he could not beat Judah. If he just beat Judah people would say Baldo is the real champ.
Maybe he should have Fought Baldo first and then defended against Judah but thats kinda nitpicking.

Correct. My mistake. He wasn't looking at Spinks but it was between Judah and Baldomir. Spinks may have been mentioned but it wasn't serious. The plan all along was to fight Judah but you're right it wasn't signed.
