I cant believe you guys are putting Paulie down so much. I used to not like him, I had never seen him fight, I just didnt like how he acted in interviews and stuff. Well, I watched the Cotto fight hoping that Cotto would blow him out. After that fight I have respect for Malignaggi, he took Cotto's best and kept coming and made it a competitive fight.

Add to that a fairly nasty KO and I don't think we really know what Hatton has left until we see him fight again.

I think he's going to come back weaker.
Looking gassed and hurt wouldnt have anything to do with the level of comp would it ,,, but after he bashes Lazcano he will be back on track right

Good fighters look extra when the comp is average and especially if they are shot like Castillo , Ricky will look good with Lazcano thats what the script says , why do you you think they dug so deep to find Lazcano it was not like he was in the news or on everyones lips , they called on archaeologists to find this guy with the only requirements being , he must be slow , stand in front , be game and best of all shot to bits , Hatton has fought 1 elite prime fighter and got KOed , he does great against faded champs and fringe fighters , he is all cherry picking and marketing and Hattons personality has been milked very well indeed making a lot of people rich in the process , Hatton as a fighter Floyd and Roger were right .

Before you talk about fouls, I recommend that you watch Hatton-Tszyu.

Are we watching for Tszyu's constant low blows or Ricky's aggression?

Hatton was quite a busy beaver with his elbows and head, as well. We'll talk about the headlocks and the holding-n-hitting another time.

Fair play to Ricky. But you don't build a career on roughhousing and bullying your opponents, and then cry when someone beats you at that game.

Beating Lazcano convicingly won't prove anything about Hatton, but failure to do so might. Anything less than a good performance with a KO will prove to me that Hatton is not the fighter he was and confirm my su****ions that he is on the way out. If he does outclass Lazcano as he would have in the past then he will show only what we already know, that at his best he can blow away lesser fighters and should start as favourite against Malignaggi.

I consider Hatton at his best to be a genuine elite, and the difference I see between the Hatton that beat Tsyzu and the Hatton that bored against Urango and nearly lost to Collazo startled me. Tsyzu was better than either of those two and Hatton didn't gas then, so it worries me that he has started doing so. Basically I think he peaked with the Tsyzu fight.

Fair enough mate , though I feel Kostya being faded and he was by quite a bit , the fight being at home and Ricky being the underdog all add up to a big performance always a lift at home , if Ricky were elite he would have gone on from that he hasnt I mean they picked Urango and Maussa for reasons same with Luis and that nearly back fired , Castillo was about selling a Floyd fight to the public , it did that and people were so busy pumping Hattons tyres up to see just how shot Castillo was not to mention Castillo wasnt even getting paid so his mind was as shot as his body , most people only see whats right in front , Roger and Floyd were laughing at the Castillo fight while the average fan was saying Hatton will kill Floyds body , thing is he was hitting a bag in Castillo not a prime Floyd .

Agree on Castillo, thats why I don't like to mention it. He was shot as ****, you only have to look at a fight from his prime to see the difference, it was ridiculous.
