Light Heavyweight / Super Middleweight champ vs Middleweight champ. Both undefeated. What more can you ask for (except the obvious "other" fight we all wanna see)?

Both guys throw a lot of punches with Pavlik being the harder puncher and Calzaghe being the more slick and elusive fighter. Pavlik would have to control the pace. If he can land a few flush shots I think he drops Calzaghe. The slapfest won't work against Pavlik at all. I think he's a fighter you'll literally need to KO to beat because he'll continue coming at you and we know he has a hell of a chin.

A couple of months ago I felt Calzaghe would win in a cakewalk.... I'm not so sure anymore. Unless Pavlik really got discouraged I think he could win a decision or by KO.

If you base your opinion on the Hopkins fight I think you are in for a surprise. Hopkins is a fighter who's impossible to look good against, and Calzaghe didn't alter that statement. A better way to gauge Calzaghes ability is to look at the fights with Kessler, Lacy and (oh yes) Manfredo.

Pavliks style is much better suited for Calzaghe, and the entertainment value of this particular match-up far exeeds any other fights made at this weight.
