Calzaghe is a fairy who doesn't want to fight Jones, even in Wales, because he is afraid that Jones will beat him down. Calzaghe hits like a girl with his little slaps. My gosh he's possibly the worst boxer I've ever seen fight. He lost to Alfonso Gomez. Jeff Lacy? That cat's name, "Left Hook" gives him away immediately and he sucks! Bernard Hopkins is the only formidable foe on Calzaghe's resume! He's 43! And he knocked Calzaghe on his dumb ass! Everybody knows Jones is the draw in this fight. He should get the lion's share of the purse. Calzaghe is a scared little *****!

Ill thought out comment that, and biased. RJJ is the one whom has been known to only want big money fights, and charging too much compared with others. I remember Hops just winning a fight and calling him out, RJJ video interviewed live just fobbed him off with money excuses saying he deserves the most of the fee's by far.

How do you know what deal Warren or Joe would be pushing for, Joe's never been that greedy, and another big US fight would earn him plenty for him, compared to some past fights. Besides, RJJ went on tape saying the tables have turned and he has to go to the best and probably get paid less. So where does that leave your assumption, a little unfounded and subjective.

The Hopkins old man comment just underlines your bias and scepticism on Calzaghe. Hops is a top p4p, and has had some great wins post 40, drop the excuses, it's a great accomplishment to beat him in his backyard, especially when he's brawling, butting, and not a good style for Joe at all. Credit where credits due at least. Otherwise your post deserves little credit.

Both fights are tough for Joe, RJJ would be a bigger money fight, so the only logical reason for Pavlik being more mentioned now is RJJ not chasing it as much as he was. He had Calzaghe saying probably yes, he was keen, that would not suddenly stop. Pavlik is not ideal for him at all, probs less money depending on RJJ's greed,, a younger quick fighter, a weight he's struggling with, his belts and best SMW reign could be taken.

Biased toward skillful fighters and not those that try to rob the boxing public . I don't like the guy period. But that makes my opinions no less than yours. Whatever that each of us present is pure speculation. I just have the ability to see thru the BS of most fighters and there respective camps. november pavlik vs calzaghe great fight could go either way but i think joe whopped mary popkins arse and im sure he would kick roy jones arse and for tarver hes not in calzaghe league and i do think he would take out pavlik with a knockout blow he would be too busy for pavlik

Funny you say that. Pavlik throws as manny or more punches than Joe does and there is no way he has what it takes to KO Pavlik. No TKO will happen either. He is not Peter manfredo. He throws back when threatened.

Calzaghe will beat Pavlik. Nobody's ever forced him to fight differently from his 1-2, 1-1-2, 1-2, 1-2, 1-2, 1-1-1-2 and Calzaghe will force him to switch up from his one-dimensional style. For the record I like Pavlik more than Calzaghe but this is just a bad style match-up. However, Pavlik does have a chance though because the fight would be at 168 since Super Joe will look on the virge of death at the weigh-in.

That being said, this would be a much more action packed fight then Jones-Calzaghe. Calzaghe should try to legitimize the LHW title since he should've been fighting there about a couple a years ago. If I were Joe I'd fight the LHW's instead.

Lol at you thinking Jones is a more credible opponent than Pavlik right now.

RJJ is nothing more than a wannabe Winky Wright now... trying to fight in a shell defense, but the problem is, he's not all that great at it.

Calzaghe would eat that style up any day. Prime RJJ who fought with his prime style would have kicked Calzaghe's ass though.

Calzaghe fights in angles most of his fights, he'll come forward when the other fighter like Hopkins can't hurt him at all. But if you watch him vs lacy and kessler he is moving in angles and not just coming forward.
