he had a generous reach but his jab was not quick and he did'nt have good timing with it IMO ,on top of that his footwork was poor he was not good at shuffling foward behind the jab to close the range he would tend to reach with it instead

hell than man pulled his shoulder out trying to hit Ali with, i dont care how old he was his technique would 'nt have been effected by his age IMO

powerfull jab ,generous reach but far from great IMO
Generous reach? great reach for his height.

        Holmes.

Bob Foster is in with a mad shout. And Roger Mayweather used to be brilliant with the jab.

Liston had fairly good footwork in any case when you see him early in his career you can see he was in so much better shape than he was against Ali.
there is a footage of Liston in the amateurs, bro can you post videos, please???????

I will have to ask the original uploader or WBVA might ban me, I also have the Floyd Patterson story which has some Amateur fight of Patterson and i think it had a few clips of liston as an Amateur as well.

How anybody could like Wlad over Larry Holmes to me is mind boggling.

This will always have Holmes at or near the top of the list:

Anybody w/ the balls to drop kick somebody off the roof of a van can ultimately win my vote for President if they chose to run.

cool, no problem, hopefully they wont mind. that's some rare material right there. i didnt know that they go that far back with liston or even patterson. i seen robinson, frazier and ali amateur fights and even that footage was limited. i'd love to see sonny, even if it's highlights, be great if you could hook it up.
