This is not a flame thread. This was a serious question that I wanted to ask NSB.

This is a bait/flame thread at beast.

Why ask such a dumb question that everyone knows the answer to?

I should make a threads like:

"Would NSB be happy if Floyd signed to fight Cotto today?"

"Is the sun hot?"

"Are tunnels under water?"

Outside of people who have said no due to certain variables or if some how Cotto/Floyd was going to happen first - notice EVERYONE said yes.

Notice even I said as long as he ends up in another decent fight.

Now if he ducked Margarito and took a Gomez rematch lets say - yeah I'd criticize him to.

You kill me..you really do. This ain't no dumb question. Like I stated, it was a REAL one. Why would I lie about boxing or make up a bait thread. We have enough of those on here, REAL TALK...if you think that I was a flame/bait thread that is on you. But go back to the first page and I stated that it wasn't. The gripe I have with your post is that you say as" long as he ends up with another decent fight". Y decent? If you expect Mayweather to fight the best, and this that and the other, you have to hold your favorite fighter to the same standards.

2. Yes - a decent fight - because outside of Tony who else is there for Miguel Cotto to **** up? Your boy Floyd who wants no part of Miguel Cotto because he is shook and rightfully so. What fights are there for Miguel Cotto right now aside from Tony or Floyd? Don't say a Shane rematch because nobody would want to see that ****. Don't say a rematch period. Your boy Floyd the fight ducking ***** is impeding Miguel Cotto's progress to the top of the ranks.

the only way i won't criticized cotto is if the mayweather fight comes up all of a sudden..if it doesn't i will be really piss at cotto.

I hate your guts but I respect what you just said. Cotto has to take this fight if he wants to keep his name up high, forfeiting this fight will give him a bad name and I will personally stop watching any of his fights as I stated here before.

This guy makes some great points.

It would suck if this fight didn't go through, and about the only way I wouldn't be pissed off at Cotto for not fighting Margarito is if all of the sudden he made a fight with Mayweather. Other than that, he'd ****ing suck for not fighting Marg...maybe a mega-money fight with Oscar would be understandable too.

How is that understandable? money-wise for Cotto maybe, but this fight would not help boxing at all, it would be meaningless just like DLH-Mayweather II.

lol..shook, huh? What has Arum done to secure the fight with Mayweather? All of your talking and my talking means NOTHING. Has the promoter take the necessary steps to get the fight done FOR REAL. Or is all this just talk?

Don't say that the business doesn't mean anything, because it does! The business obviously means something, I think that is the reason why Miguel has YET to sign to fight Margarito. So we can talk, you and me. We can go back and forth. You can all names and this and that. But when it comes down to it, HAS THE REAL BUSINESS EVER BE ADDRESSED BY ARUM TO MAYWEATHER FOR A PROPOSED MAYWEATHER-COTTO FIGHT?....or has all of this been just talk about how "scared" May is to fight Miguel?

An official from Top Rank spoke on the condition of anonymity.

He said Top Rank has been working behind the scenes to try to secure a Floyd/Cotto match.

That's my full extent of knowledge in terms of promoters trying to make the fight happen.

I didn't and I wasn't attempting to put words in your mouth. Most of the time when taking about the business side of making fights happen, people seem to just throw it off as if it isn't important....Trust me, if Arum made the right offer to Mayweather for a fight with Miguel Cotto, he will take it...IMO
