Met Roberto Duran on the nite Miguel Cotto was fighting Mohamad Abdulaev at Madison Square Garden. He was surrounded by alot of people, some fine women, and when I asked him if I can have a picture...the dude was real cool.

Although he isn't a boxer, Emmanuel Steward is one cool geezer.

I didn't want to bother him, but Hector Camacho was sitting about 10 seats to the right of me during the Cotto/Mosley fight. He was with two chicks, and he seems like a cool dude, taking pics with fans and having a good time. The ****ed up part was I had cheap-o mezzanine $50 seats, I was like damn somebody get this dude some better seats.

I would give my testicles to meet Joe Frazier, that guy is a god amongst men for me.

I haven't met anyone I've met Shonie Carter, a professional MMA fighter, though. Come to think of it, I've met more pros in MMA (2) then I have Boxers.

Yeah he used to come down to Portage Park in the summers and train us. "Speed brings power" he used to say. That guy came down nearly every day(Mon-Thurs) for six weeks one summer and every time helped me with my jab. He was tireless and gracious. He was something special.

I know his son Marvis...three years ago I walked into their gym in North Philly to talk to Marvis...asked him how his dad was...he told me to go up and say hello...I went up to Joe's office and ended staying for about 45 minutes talking about woman, kids, Ali, etc etc. Really cool day.

Also, Emmanuel Steward is in his 60's now, won the AAU title in 1963 from what I remember, but I was in camp with them a few months ago and Manny was shadowboxing with Wlad one day, and he was moving pretty good, man

thanks man, yeah steward had experience prior to turning his craft into training. his record was 95 victories and only 3 losses. winning golden gloves for him as he put it was the his proudest and happiest moment.
