Gatti is like 5'7, maybe an inch taller than myself. When I stood next to him, I couldn't believe that he was my size.

That was taken outside the Alladin, a few hours after RJ beat Ruiz in 2003

I have met all bar one of the Newbridge guys, all really nice. Bradley Pryce i was freinds with for a bit. Joe C is a bit quiet i found.

Well, J.J. was ringside out in Texas at Clay Bey vs Mayfield and I went up to him to say hello, maybe take a pic..I used to be friends with Thelma's sister in real life and figured that would be a good way to break the ice with him. So I go up and I mention her name...he stood there and acted like he didnt know who I was talking about... I mean, this is THELMA'S suster, the sisterof the girl who was on the show that made you famous, of course you know her... I made it very clear who she was...it's hard to explain but you can tell when someone is kind of acting a certain way, and he was. Maybe I caught him on a bad day, maybe he was tired. who knows. But I walked away immediately after I realized that the conversation would be going no further

Also, Emmanuel Steward is in his 60's now, won the AAU title in 1963 from what I remember, but I was in camp with them a few months ago and Manny was shadowboxing with Wlad one day, and he was moving pretty good, man
Awesome stuff, as always Ice. I really enjoy reading your posts. I'll probably never meet anybody in the boxing world in person, and I doubt they would be as warm as you consistently are anyways.

                  You're the man.

                    Both cool guys
Marco Antonio Barrera is another fighter whom I highly admire and would love to meet.

A pic of me next to Barrera would be the strangest thing anybody ever saw. Barrera's 5'6", 125lbs, and totally clean cut. I'm 6'7", 200lbs, and have long hair.

It's strange to think I may have to get on my knees to take a pic with him, lol. Otherwise he'd look like my son.
