Had one of the best chins, and never ducked anyone in the division, another distinction that most other champions lack. Ali had no excuses.
Honestly, can you think of any champion who has cleared a division out the way Ali did? Nobody can say that Ali ducked people. Even when he was old, he was still fighting young up and comers, which you don't see any of today.

I was going to respond in anger. Until I saw who made the thread.
And you know what? I'm still angry.
        **** you, thread starter.

I voted option #3: Ali was not a bum, but is overrated by some. He's definitely not the best heavyweight of all time.
Yeah I called him a Bum in my 1 red K return to you, because you had already started redK'ing me for saying Vitali was not on Ali's level and I knew it would unbalance your white power agenda.

I'm my opinion you are just a piece of trash who looks for an excuse to build up white fighters and downgrade black fighters. It is all there in black and white (no pun intended).

You can red K me all you want, but I will continue to call your lame ass out when I see fit.

Oh and BTW, I am white, you racist piece of trash!!

Further proof that the worst threads get the most replies. Sad really.

I was deeply upset by reading some people's posts who said that they felt Ali was a bum. Never once, not in the thread or the title, did I suggest I felt Ali was a bum, though I agree that for anyone to question this is ridiculous.

absoloutely that's what i love about fighters like him. Anyone can pick a safe opponent to make themselves look good against, but there's a difference when you take on an extraordinary fighter and come off with a win. that to me is what a champion is. and ali's legacy benefits from the fact that he fought in the golden years of boxing. to me the 70s were ruled by some of the most talented and toughest heavyweights.
you cant compare a guy like foreman to samuel peter, sonny liston to hasim rahman, frazier to david tua, etc. These are fighters with Hall of Fame credentials.
Even in his decline Ali opted to take on the rising Larry Holmes.

This is the way I see it, if there are fighters who were greater than Ali, why wouldn't they fight better fighters than him? Why would they allow such doubts to prevail?
