Floys will prolly win sure, but with fair reffing it will be a different fight, so a possible upset maybe....

This defeat wasn't a case of Hatton makin mistakes he can correct in a 2nd fight, or gettin ****ed by the ref like he keeps claimin. He got KO'd by the clearly better fighter, period. No point to this rematch.

Floyd beat him at the same on the night weight he fights at jnr welter , get that through your melon repeat it a 1000 times .

The only difference for Hatton was not having to dry out as much repeat a 1000 times .

            Vs Collazo, he was 158-159.
Boys .... im no boxing ****** .... i KNOW Hatton hasnt come in under 151 ish before .... i also know a few of the corner men on the manchester boxing scene and the general concensus is that Ricky would drop a few pounds in order to offer more speed and movement to combat the speed of Floyd ..... Im a Hatton fan ... yea but a sensible one ... no nuthugging here ... given the info i have been led to believe then Hatton would come in under 150.

              Fair play.

But if a lean fighter is used to getting in the ring at 154, how much does he have in the tank at 147-148?

Damn he'd be dry. ...and weak.

I mean, Pacquiao was 145 for his last bout. You think Hatton can be in that range? That'd be tough for him.

Yea, i agree tbh .. Hatton is not getting any younger and it certainly a distinct possibility that it would drain him out ..... even as a Hatton fan im concerned that quite simply Floyd is too good for him, i would really like to see a rematch in Manchester as Hattons last fight tho .. just to see if the much hyped crowd etc really could make it a different fight.

Would the crowd be that different than the crowd in Vegas? It seemed wildly pro-Hatton anyway.

Vegas was very pro Hatton but the set up in Manchester especially is unbelievable ... ive been lucky enough to be ringside for a few of his fights and been to most of his pro bouts since 02 and ive never seen anything like the M.E.N. Arena when Hatton is fighting ... if the fight was held there then it may well oppress Floyd ... who knows eh?

btw ... green K comin ur way for being able to hold a decent debate with someone who obviously has a different viewpoint than yourself without resorting to flaming ... respect mate

Hatton would be nuts to come at 147 because he would be semi dry , we are talking about fluid here and thats what you fail to understand , the idea Hatton would be faster is your idea not his and it wasnt speed alone that beat him , the manchester boxing scene are not Rickys advisers or conditioners they are just disappointed people looking for silver bullets ,,, Hatton cannot beat Floyd at his best under any deal or weight because he just dont have the skills ability to do it , its that simple and you dont have to be a long time boxing follower to see the difference in class , Hatton is a C grade fighter compared to Floyd and that gap cant be bridged .
