I don't know who 2 of the posters who voted for Hatton are, but...

I can attest that DaveBrown and Tony628 are about as close to ******ed as you can get.

        Floyd Mayweather Jr Wins Again
i'm a fan of both and being honest, Floyd will probably win easier this time around

Ricky Hatton is a good fighter. But i didn't see anything from the first fight that would indicate that he belongs in the ring again with FMJ.

There are much better fights out there. For both of them. Winnable fights for hatton. Competitive fights for Floyd.

I think if the fight does happen, Hatton knows he's got to try something different and the fight will be closer than last time. Mayweather will probably still win, but as we all know anything can happen in boxing

if they fight at england with a very small ring( like the casamayor vs katsidis one) and at 140 id give hatton a 50 percent chance

@ 140 id give Hatton every chance in the world, @ 147 he would be a fool to take the fight even for the money, and im a big Hatton fan, ringside for many fights but he is only really effective @ 140.

                  Thoughts?
I don't believe Ricky Hatton beats him in the U.S.A, England, or anywhere else for that matter.

Ricky is a good fighter (one of the best overseas) but compared to floyd he doesnt measure up and thats nothing to be ashamed of. I think we seen Ricky hatton do nearly the best he can do against mayweather...

i think he will show improvement in a rematch; but not enough to win the fight or even threaten to win the fight.

Floyd should win by UD in the neighborhood of 8 rounds to 4 rounds (116-112).

or possibly even 9 rounds to 3 rounds (117-111).

A new ref wont make a difference (even refs of his home country) or judges of his home country.

                  Floyd wins by UD.

I will say this; floyd basically dominated the first fight and i dont see much reason for a rematch to be honest. Since ricky was undefeated at the time i can see why he's given benefit of the doubt but i dont think the outcome will be much different other than ricky going the distance.

I think you guys may be overlooking a very important point:

Hatton was 154 on fight night. mayweather was 148. How would having the fight at 140 benefit Hatton?

Having the fight at the 147 limit basically meant that two junior welterweights were fighting, but didn't have to bother making weight. In fact, I think that the 147 limit may have benefited RH to the extent that he had more flexibility as to where he felt most comfortable.

Floyd is just not a fully-developed welterweight.

My point exactly ^^^ Hatton may have weighed more but he is NOT cut out to fight above 140 .... yes he can easily put the weight on and make 147 and all boxers pile the lbs on after the weigh in so 154 is about right for the night but Hattons best performances have ALL been @ 140 despite winning the 147 belt. So i still feel that @ a strict 140 JWW limit Hatton has an excellent chance of winning that fight.
