The thread starter also said that Tyson was the greatest fighter of all time. Its like, why waste our time?

        Vitali vs Byrd

Why Vitali has the 'best HW KO% of all time' (untrue because Mac Foster KO'd 100% of his opponents, 30 KO's out of 30 wins).

Yeah, it's pretty amazing what these dedicated fan-boys will pull out of their asses and post. I've run this matchup on two different boxing simulators and the results are always the same: Ali by TKO around the ninth or tenth round.

Like your signature pic btw: You can't go wrong with a Jack Johnson poster!

Agreed, Klitschko hasn't beaten anyone that would convince me that he would beat Muhammad Ali. Klitschko is a good fighter, but its just a different era of fighters and different level of competition. I can choose most of Ali's opponents and say that hes better than anyone that Vitali has beaten. In fact, the best fighter that Klitschko has beaten was Sanders. Hes too stiff for an elusive boxer like Ali, especially the version that beat Liston. I almost didn't come into this thread when i read the title. Threads like these reminds me of why i am over at east-side boxing more.

The more i read about Johnson, the more i realize how truly great of a fighter he was and how the era he fought in was one of the greatest. His wins over guys like Langford, Joe Jennette, Fitzsimmons ect are incredible. You can make a strong case for him being the greatest heavyweight.

If you can name a legend he has beat, or even a very good heavyweight, please enlighten me. I am all ears.
the problem with all time greats is many people on here think they were untouchable. ali was great becuase he was able to rise to the occasion in huge fights and had great ability as well obviously but he did have his share of tough close fights and I doubt very much that he'd have had a field day with vitali. he likely would have won a decision but vit would have gave him trouble with his size...power and awckwardness

the thing with vitali is no one was able to beat him decisively and he really beat up several top 20 fighters like no other. larry donald was very durable and went the distance with guys like kirk johnson and a prime rid**** bowe while vitali dropped him like a sack 3 times and stopped him for the only stoppage loss in his career and herbie hide went 6 rounds with bowe and was brutally stopped in 2 by vit. he was far from flawless but one tough mo fo for sure

The thread starter is abssolutly right, Tyson was the best. And about Vitali I don't think that he could ko Ali, but that could be a hard fight for Ali, and Vitali is much better HW than WLad IMO
