    Tarver has a pinpoint 1-2.
I'd lean towards that prediction as well.

Only thing in question is Tarver's work rate. Woods didnt even throw. Dawson will keep the combos flowing.

Tarver is a far more formidable foe than is Diaconu. From this post I ascertain that you don't believe so. Diaconu is a guy who walks right in the front door and leaves huge gaps between his punches. Unlike Johnson who did the same, Diaconu doesn't have the defense he does and is a bleeder.

Tarver is crafty and can hit harder than Diaconu. Tarver > Diaconu

Is that because he's better or because he's European?

Dawson was getting hit because Johnson was making him fight three minutes of every round. If a guy is putting the kind of sustained pressure on you for three minutes of every round like Johnson is, you aren't going to duck every single one.

Tarver is not a gambler. He's a safety-first guy who will try to land 1 or 2 hard shots a round to get your respect and then cruise through the round. He was hitting Clinton Woods, who doesn't have nearly the same defense as Dawson, and never tried to finish him.

Dawson would ditch his title to get a better paying shot at Tarver. On the other hand, Tarver will only fight Dawson if he can't get a bigger fight. Boxing is kind of like girlfriends/wives. Everybody only wants to trade up.

What should happen is that Dawson and Tarver should have a unification fight around the summer. Diaconu and Johnson should fight for the WBC interim and the winner of that would get a shot of the winner of Dawson/Tarver. That way, Dawson would get a shot to prove that the Johnson win was no fluke and beat him handily this time around. If Diaconu ends of beating Johnson, then he gets to prove him self against a young top 10 unbeaten fighter with the look of credentials.

I think Diaconu will KO Dawson because he has the style to do it....Dawson is overrated, he was exposed in his last fight with old, past his prime Johnson and given a gift decision....Dawson is very chinny and gets hurt a lot, he also has poor defence...Diaconu is a dangerous fighter with underrated technical skills, hits hard and is a good finisher...Johnson is not a big puncher and he hurt Dawson badly and almost knocked him out, Diaconu hits harder than Johnson and is a better finisher...I GURANTEE you that Diaconu will hurt Dawson badly and unlike old Johnson and weight drained Adamek, Diaconu will actually finish Dawson off and win by knockout.

Johnson is an old veteran that was ranked 3rd by the ring magazine at the time and still a very good fighter. Fighters that are as young and still in the learning process the way Dawson is, i highly doubt that he will come and fight on the inside against a ****er such as Diaconu.

Believe it or not, Johnson's defense was actually better than Dawson's. He looks like he comes in wide open but he holds his hands high and block punches while he attempts to walk his man down. Diaconu's chin is not as good as Johnson's and his defense certainly isn't. Johnson has never been down in a fight. Comparing a young untested fighter to a veteran and former multiple champion such as Johnson is completely irrelevant.

Chris Henry was able to land the uppercut at will and Diaconu faded at the ladder stages of the fight. Dawson's counter right uppercut was a dominate weapon in the Harding fight and he also used it effectively in the Adamek fight. He also has weakness against southpaws. The last lefty that he fought was a close controversial decision in his favor.
