Will this damage cottos legacy or will not matter ......or do you belive cotto still hasnt beat anyone to be considered a great fighter......also will this do anything for margaritos legacy will it legitimize why the so called best never fought him?

I dont think so! Cotto can still move on to another big fight and still make a name for himself he is young in the game, However what it would do is put Floyd in a similar position he was once in.
He will have to chose between fighting Margarito the winner, Or the Loser Cotto much the way he had to chose when he fought Judah after having lost to baldimor.

I don't think losing to Margy is that damaging, he's obviously a force and would give any WW a tough night in the ring. That being said, Cotto won't lose.

would definitley not damage cotto's legacy. and would lead up to a rematch.

Naw, it surely wouldn't. Cotto is a great fighter regardless, and Tony will present Cotto the hardest fight of his career, despite all the Tony haters he is the #3 top welter after Cotto right now so even if Cotto loses it won't be an embarrassing loss. I see a rematch in the horizon once Cotto loses on July though, I'm pretty sure of that.
