I think Nate will probably lose his belts in time because he can't keep up with the mandatories, so it might all be a moot point. If GDP are trying to freeze him out for any reason, it's so he'll lose his belts for not defending them.

What ****s me is this 'linear champ' business. What and who the hell is a 'linear champ'. Apparently Casa is the 'linear' champ, and therefore the best. I thought the best was the guy with the most belts. That was Juan Diaz, now it's Nate Campbell.

Katsidis isn't strictly with Golden Boy, as far as I know. He has some sort of agreement with them, but he isn't officially on the roster. Not on the roster on the web-site, anyway.

Campbell is as smart and shrewd a businessman, as well as fighter, as anyone will ever see. He has been through a lot of bull in the business and won't let himself be victim to it anymore.

Golden Boy offered Marquez not because that was the best fight in boxing, but because it would keep Campbell out of the running for Pacquiao's November date.

The business side of boxing seems more ****ed up than the music industry. Why do people hate on Don King so much when people like Arum, Shelly Finkel and others have robbed just as many fighters as King has?

You have to look at the big picture. Fighting Marquez in November would mean a lot less money than fighting Pacquiao in November. If Campbell fights Marquez in November, then any hope of fighting Pacquiao goes down the drain. Pacquiao is aligned with Bob Arum, not Golden Boy, so any business with GBP and Nate Campbell isn't appurtenant.

Marquez isn't the ATM machine Pacquiao is, plus beating Pacquiao is a bigger statement than beating Marquez, who is coming off of an L.

Look, Nate doesn't have to wait for Marquez. He could go on with his career and fight whomever he wants. Marquez ain't no ****en lightweight. Now, you tell me honestly, Will King get Campbell a fight before November? LOL!

Campbell needs to be careful how he handles himself. Campbell has never had a big pay day. He ain't getting Pac Man this year unless he fights and beats Marquez or and Casamayor.

He can make his biggest payday by fighting those guys, and he's acting like a prick that feels like the world owes him something? For **** sakes he hasn't even defended the titles and already this guy is running at the mouth.

Take the payday and stop being a ***** and fight Casamayor or and Marquez and don't ***** about it. Unless you feel that those guys would end your small run.

i dont see campbell as that good of a boxer (well he is but not to compete againt the elites).

the juan diaz win was a one time thing (he wouldnt beat him in a rematch)...

Marquez would beat him as well...

campbell is a good boxer but he's JUST outside of the limelight of the top fighters in his division.
