As I have explained in the past, the should roll defense really falls apart against south paws. Not only would Floyd be facing one of the slickest boxers since Willie Pep, he would be facing one of the slickest southpaws. Bad bad match up for Floyd.

I agree a Linares matchup would be very interesting to watch. Linares might be able to pile up rounds with his fluid combination punching, even if they don't really land flush. All the rounds will be very close. It would be a borefest nodoubt, but it would be an exciting borefest like Hopkins Wright where you will just be on the edge of your seat going "I wonder what will happen!"
Cazares managed to catch and hurt Calderon though, Mayweather is faster and punches harder than Cazares. For sure, this fight would be interesting.

It has to be a sharp, snapping jab, if it isn't, Mayweather would counter over the top with right hands all night.

Cazares also was 5 weight classes larger than Calderon in the ring. This is a p4p matchup, that assumes if Calderon is at minimum weight, so is Floyd or if Floyd is at welter, Calderon is sized appropriately.

Calderon fight Cazares is about the equivalent of Floyd fighting Edison Miranda.

The point of my post was to say that Calderon can get caught and hurt, I see Mayweather knocking Calderon out in come from behind fashion.

It doesn't have to be fast. It only has to be strait and stiff. Strait out, strait back. If you pull it back low, its useless. You need to double it, feint it, Jab feint Jab. Hook off the Jab, uppercut off the double jab.

I didn't say it had to be very fast, sharp and snapping is what I said.

Anyone can be hurt if they are hit by a big enough man. Mayweather was hurt badly against Chop Chop Corley.

He was stunned against Chop Chop, not nearly as badly as Calderon was hurt.
