I was just happy after the fight that he was going to be financially taken care for life, and now I don't even have that to be happy about.

Oscar is a grade A douchebag.

      Amen.

Forbes has a chance here to make something of himself with this exposure.

Definitely. This fight boosted his name value and that will translate into better opportunities and more money.

I have a lot of respect for Forbes and was impressed by his performance, but let’s be honest here: De La Hoya is the reason people tuned into that fight, not Forbes. Frankly I think $600,000 for a non-title fight is pretty good...

As well, you can’t be upset over the producers for “The Contender” for taking their share of his purse either. No one forced Forbes to go on that show, he is an adult and chose to be on it and thus agreed to their terms. In any case, if it wasn’t for him being on that show he most likely would have not even had the chance to fight De La Hoya in the first place.
