He made $600,000, with the Contender people taking 200K of that. So $400,000 before he pays expenses and the IRS.

All in all a good night's work, though it is absurd that he'll take in maybe 150k of that himself... and that is being generous.

        That makes me really sad.

He took a fight without having a chance to win, and it really wasn't that big of a payday.

I was just happy after the fight that he was going to be financially taken care for life, and now I don't even have that to be happy about.

Oscar is a grade A douchebag.

I think Forbes is still well off

He Made money of Contender and this fight

Plus money off sparring world champions and his other fights

and he has a hot wife

On the other hand it was by far the most money Forbes ever made in a fight. I doubt he has any regrets about taking it, especially since it gave him a lot more visibility and he didn't embarrass himself. It probably opened more doors for him too.

How is Oscar the douchebag? He's giving Forbes a career high payday. If anything the ****ers at the Contender taking 1/3 of his purse are douchebags.

I guess. It just seems disproportionately small compared to what Oscar most likely made. I know it's a business, but Oscar is going to bank another trillion for his next fight with Mayweather, and he has a heart enough to realize that Steve Forbes probably could have used more than that, compared to Oscar, who isn't going to use any of his purse... ever.

Well no one is dis*****g that the Contender people are ****suckers.

I think Oscar is a d-bag because he probably took at least 98% of the purse. You know Oscar made over $10 million most likely, and left Forbes $600K.
