Considering it was in front of a live audience, and Oscar De La Hoya attracted about a trillion people to watch it, 600K really isn't that good.

        600K + Good Investments = early retirement.

People who get hit in the head as their job would not be the first people I would think of when I think of people making good investments.

I know it's a business, but Oscar is going to bank another trillion for his next fight with Mayweather, and he has a heart enough to realize that Steve Forbes probably could have used more than that, compared to Oscar, who isn't going to use any of his purse... ever.
Officially Oscar made only two million. Of course he was also the promoter so he likely made considerably more than that.

I understand what you guys are saying and yeah it sucks that DLH makes millionsa and forbes gets paid 600k

But dont feel sorry for the guy making 300 K isnt that bad at all !! , plus he didnt look that bad so i think he will get more fights, maybe not as big but with ok purses,

and remember he could have won and made millions after this i know its a 1% possibility but its a chance, most fighters dont ever get that

i hope he got a good chunk of change for the fight, i think that the fight itself was a way of GBP giving forbes a little something after he got robbed in the Dhop fight.

i think that after this fight, forbes is going to get some better paydays because after fighting oscar, his name will be a little better known out in the sports world, which may lead to some better things to come for him.

forbes proved he's a world class fighter and if he fights at his proper weight, i think he could win a belt again, certainly he could make some really good fights happen if he were to drop back down to at least 135-140, i think over 140 everyone is bigger than him and it negates his boxing talent a bit.

i've been a big fan of forbes for a while now, after seeing him in the gym out here in vegas when i first started going to boxing gyms out here, he was nice and humble, very likable guy........... hopefully this fight with oscar will have given him a vitamin B shot in his career............

I hope he got a good payday out of it. Now he needs to go back to the ****in weight class he belongs and win a belt before the moment passes. If he can't get a title fight, get a rematch wit D-Hop and **** him up again wit DLH and Bernard at ringside.
