He's already fought 2 non WW's already. The fight with Oscar was at 154, and he made Hatton come up from 140 (LWW) to fight him. If Hatton was a legit WW, then why did he run back down to LWW after his paper thin decision to Collazo, and again after fighting and losing to Floyd?

Im starting to have a funny feeling that these 2 are going to bump heads at the negotiating table, and for whatever reasons, this fight isnt going to come off!. Lets only hope!!! Floyd feels he should be the one calling the shots because he won the first fight, while Oscar feels that he is the draw, therefore he should be able to dictate the terms. Both have a case, but if u really think about it, Oscar can go fight someone else and still make $25mil. Can Floyd? Floyd's next option's as far as a "money fight" is concerned, will be Hatton or Cotto, and i highly doubt he will be able to get Hatton into the ring this year.

casual fans really dont give a **** about titles or divisions to tell you the truth. casual fans dont know that Trinidad moved up in weight to fight hopkins. they dont know that floyd moved up in weight to fight Oscar. they dont know what titles are at steak and couldnt tell you what abc orgy they are from. they dont pay attention to that kinda ****. pinche putos.

I understand that, but most casual fans that in know, were turned off by the first fight, and have no interest in the rematch. Im sure there are MANY other casual fans who feel the same. They only care for action. They have no interest in a techinical, or defensive minded fight. They want to see real punches being thrown, knock downs, knock outs, and blood! None of those were present in thier first fight.

Its kind of disapointing if it doesnt end up being for a title (no contracts have been signed yet i believe) but theres still time to make it for a title...

and if oscar got down to 148 in puerto rico he can make 147.

            its only a pound.

either way i dont think the title makes it all that important.

If oscar were to beat floyd he doesnt need to get the title from floyd to earn praise.

if the p4p champion of the world gets beat; then he gets beat...i dont think you need the title to make it valid...its still a huge accomplishment no matter what.

but i think floyd and oscar still need to make it about the title to be fair...oscar put his title up at 154 and its only fair for floyd to do the same.

My problem with it is, if Floyd were to lose, he would still hold the WBC WW strap, and still have leverage at WW. It would still be about having to defeat him in order to be crowned the real WW champ. If Oscar were to win, then lose to Cotto, then Cotto would hold all the straps (given he gets past margarito), and that would make for a Cotto/Floyd megabout! Winner takes all!

He wouldnt have that leverage if he lost, becuase Oscar would be Rings Champ Oscar will then move on to fight Cotto, and Floyd will no longer be in the drivers seat. seriously there is no way if Floyd losses this fight, that he will still have leverage at WW, he will have a trinket as they call it nothing more.
in other words get in line, fight Margarito or Cotto
