You think Vitali was scared of Oleg Maskaev's ***** Rahman?

Vitali retired because of chronic injuries...That's a FACT.

Lewis cowardly turned down the arguably the biggest payday of his career because he is scared of Vitali and he knew he would get KO'd in a rematch.

Did Vitali Klitschko have the knees to be fleet footed?

Of course he did, just like how Haseem Rahman scared Vitali into retirement. Both inexplicable events, but the facts suggest they happened.

Lewis had been KTFO twice before. I dont think he was in any way 'scared' into retirement just because he had a close fight.

Who else was there for him to fight?
He wasnt great that night, but got the win, and never fought again. He could of carried on but not fought Vitali. He obviously knew it was the perfect time to retire.

You know, Wlad, Derranged has the most appropriate name of any member in this forum! The guy's a loser.

He is indeed mentally "derranged" - no wonder he was banned from ESB.

....Big Len won the first fight fair and square. But, I don't think he had any idea what he was up against before hand, and he knows that he was very very fortunate. He could have made a killing and silenced all the Vitali nuthuggers by taking the rematch. Instead, he chose to dissapear into the sunset instead of making another 20 million or so. From an economics standpoint he ****ed up. From a saving his legacy standpoint he did the right thing. Vitali would have mauled him in a rematch and I don't give a **** how long Lewis's training camp was.

thats the beauty of it all, it's not about money, in the famous words of Dirty Harry, " a man has got to know his limitations " and i think that lewis knew and knows where his is. why risk fighting and tarnishing your record and being on top with another fight with a fight that you're not up for, or have no interest in again. obviously money isnt the motivating factor. i think that lewis not wanting to fight anymore speaks in volumes, especially with every other athlete retiring and coming out of retirement, it's like the ultimate individual stand against what has become the norm.

besides with vitali's track record, why waste the time to train when vitali's going to pull out with an injury every training camp. one after another, after another, after another, etc. i wouldn't entertain the idea if i were lewis. besides lewis beat him fair and square, that eye was ****ed up from a punch, and lewis was starting to land with more frequency. i thought that vitali's corner made the eye worse and was trying to go to the score cards and it back fired on them, i've seen that fight an handful of times and his corner man wipes the eye after it happened and tore it open even worse. it was actually pretty sick.

the fight wasn't what we all wanted, although it was fairly entertaining, we wanted a more definite answer but thats life and thats boxing to the fullest, leaving you wanting more.

i will give vitali credit he took some massive shots, i'm surprised he was able to keep standing after some of those upper cuts by lewis, those things were bombs..............

Lewis may have fought another time or two.. but the only fight out there that made sense at the time was a rematch with Vitali.. and even thought the true outcome of the fight will remain unknown.. Lewis was at a point in his career where he has achieved plenty and had nothing left to prove.

To rematch Vitali, Lewis had to go through a tough training camp... but so would Vitali, who took the fight with the champ on a weeks notice. At the time, it was an unnecessary risk Lewis didn't need to take... so he retired with a win over Vitali intact..

Rightful decision for Lewis, maybe a bit unjust to the fans and Vitali... Anyhow, I can't blame him.
