I think Margarito isn't as technically sound as Cotto is. He's more of a swarmer with so many punches. Cotto can box backwards if he has to, fight decent on the inside with his bodyshots and short uppercuts, and throws more accurate and precise shots. But, Margarito throws ALOT of punches, and although some say Cotto is a pressure fighter, he's nothing compared to Margarito, and I think it'll catch up to Cotto late if Cotto can't get to his body effectively. Then you have to take into account if the bodyshots will have any effect on Margarito as they had no effect on Shane. That's Cotto's only chance really is if he goes to the body and it actually slows or hurts Margarito. If not, it's Cotto's first L. By the way, it's not like Margarito doesn't throw murderous bodyshots, look what he did to Cintron. He just favors headshots more.

Stamina=Margarito(based off Cotto taking rds off against Mosley)

He's done some devastating first rd KOs to above decent competition. Whether it be from a bodyshot or headshots. Cotto's power has been the accumulative type. If Margarito doesn't KO you initially from his power punching, he'll wear you out fast.

Oh and BTW, I never really hated Margarito. I just hated his fans acting like he was invincible or most feared fighter. I'm just happy if this fight finally gets signed and we can see who really is the best. I love watching Cotto fight and I'm a big fan of him as I am Pacquiao, but I don't make either out to be invinicible. I've watched them long enough to know their strengths and weakenesses. I just don't have a problem admitted them unlike many.

Cotto likes to set the pace of a fight and someone that is coming non stop like Margarita will be a problem. One thing that stops someone from throwing so many punches is pain. If Margarita gets hit hard coming in a few times this may change how he fights Cotto.

The more I think about it after reading some decent posts on BS the more I see Marg winning the fight. Hearns-Duran keeps popping up when I ask myself how this fight will unfold. I think Hearns had the perfect style and physical attributes to go along with that style that was needed to beat Duran. I'm leaning towards the same here. I think Marg has the perfect style and physical attributes to go along with it. I look at it this way. If Cotto beats Marg in my book thats it he's the Real Deal. I think Judah was dipping his toe in the Elite waters. Mosley was him jumping headfirst in the Elite waters. (Hopkins came up with that) I think Marg will be his final test. But I'm doubting now if Cotto can pull it off. Bob Arum and Top Rank must think he can win cause I see no reason why they would endanger their star while seeing fights with DLH and Mayweather in the future. At the end of the day I think Marg will just be too big and strong and throw too many punches and be too tough and will walk Cotto down. I want Cotto to win but I'm leaning towards Marg...
