He wants to fight Hatton whats wrong with chasing the fight , he knows he can beat ricky and knows he is ducking him , thats the chip Id have one to under the same circumstances , we all would ,,,,, I guess fighters are not supposed to harass fighters that are ducking them .Comment

Most people identify with Hatton because he's a glorified chav alcholic - like most of his fans, they don't like Witter mainly because he's not white and isn't from the council estate.
You don't want to hear it, but thats the deal. Oh and he's from Bradistan.
He'd kick Hattons ***** ass arround all night.Comment

his style has been frustrating down the years and he wasted time moaning about hatton rather than getting on with his own career. Recently he has finally gone for it and with impressive wins over Morua and Harris he deserves some credit. I'd pick Hatton over him but if Hatton has been damaged vs mayweather I might change my mind.
Either way, this is the fight that needs to be made. I'm tired of excuses from Hatton.Comment

It's almost like Witter's fight against Colin Lynes never happened.
He his good fighter and has been entertaining recently but anyone would think he has always been that way........er no.Comment

Yeah, that must be why Gavin Rees couldn't sell out a venue for his WBA defence, but Naz was on PPV on both sides of the Atlantic.
Hatton is popular because he worked very hard at building up a following and had an exciting style while doing so.Comment

It depends on who he fights. The Harris fight was damn entertaining (much as it pains me to say it, as Viv and I go back a bit), as were his bouts against N'Dou and Kotelnik. Then he runs into a guy like Colin Lynes, who wants to survive more so than win.
Junior's problem in recent years is that he fights up or down to the level of his opposition. But the excuses made for his not "deserving" a fight with Hatton all went out the window the moment Pale Ale went into negotiations with Malignaggi.
"Witter doesn't have a fan-friendly style."
The same's been said about Paulie. (I like watching him, but have a biased view since I'm friendly with him)
"Witter's too disrespectful"
And Paulie's never bad-mouthed Ricky? Or any other potential opponent?
"Witter's not a big draw, Hatton can fight whomever he pleases and still get paid."
Again, the same doesn't apply here.
Honestly, there's little excuse left for Hatton NOT fighting Witter. Even in a one-champ per division society, Witter is undoubtedly Ricky's top challenger.
And before anyone cross-references Floyd-Cotto, I feel the same exact way about that scenario.Comment
