I grew up watching boxing with my white grandfather and my black father. My grandfather (mothers father) liked blue collar-type fighters. Guys like Marciano and Hagler and Dempsey. My dad liked flashier guys like Whitaker (where I developed my non-**** love for Pernell) and Tommy Hearns. I feel that I have an appreciation for both types of fighters.

It just so happens that I don't claim white boxers to be my favorites, although I really like watching Kelly Pavlik and I had a good deal of respect for Vitali Klitschko. I hate Wlad though. Unnatural hatred.
