What's funnier is, i've asked that question MANY times on these boards, and never once have i gotten an answer. Whenever the whole Floyd/Margarito situation comes up, i pull that post out my back pocket as if it were an ace of spades, only to have everybody fold. I actually posted it yesterday in another thread, and the thread went flatline aswell........................Comment

It isn't something to think about, only you thought about it. Floyd was WEIGHING HIS OPTIONS. If Gatti beat Marg he would have faced Hatton and Floyd would have faced Margo and beat him. Marg was ranked number 1 because BALDOMIR WAS THE CHAMPION. People tend to forget that. You see how Cotto is ranked number 1, that is because FLOYD IS THE CHAMPION. Your reasoning is moot because we all know you are asinine when it comes to your arguments.LOL, u tried to make Floyd sound tough by saying that he "declined a fight to someones face" Oooooh, Scary guy!! The reality is, Floyd never had any intentions to fight him, and never will. This is why......
When Arum made Floyd the $8mil offer to fight Margarito, Floyd had yet to secure an opponent for his ppv date. He then went desperately scrambling for an opponent, when all along, Margarito was the only one willing to step in the ring with him. Not to mention, Margo was the #1 ranked WW at the time. Floyd went looking for fights with Shane (even though Shane had already stated that he will be taking the rest of the year off). He tried to get Oscar in the ring, but Oscar was in retirement mode at the time. He even went as low as to try to secure a fight with Cory Spinks! (Thank god that idea got shut down). Floyd ONLY choices were Margarito, or Baldomir (given Baldo beat Gatti). Floyd crossed his fingers, and prayed to the gods in hope of a Baldomir win. So my question is, if all along he had the option of fighting the #1 ranked WW for a career high payday, why wait, gamble, and risk losing out, in hopes that Baldomir beats Gatti? What would Floyd have done if Gatti won? There is no way on earth Gatti's people or HBO would've let that happen again, so what would Floyd have done? Would he just have let his ppv date go, just so he didnt have to face Margarito? Its definitely something to think about.Comment

I understand it may be a tough fight, but y are you in the middle of the road? If you are a fan of both of the fighters, then that is understandable....but if you like one more than the other, than say that and state who your pick. You seem to be playing it "safe", by saying may the best man win.....
...Do u see Cotto- Marg as a pick em fight?Comment
