Is he still a good trainer who does well in this sport and i believe he can coach B level fighters to make it to the A level at the least (maybe not to the elite level but still to the A level).

He just gets a ton of credit for floyd which overrates him.

I honestly think overall floyd sr is a better trainer than roger but he's still not garbage and would do well (and has done well ie. steve forbes) in this sport.

props to roger just not to the point of best trainer in the world currently.
And also to realize that frank was banned...

What the ****? He seemed like a dude who wasn't ever going to step out of line and get himself banned.

    Weird.

Floyd Sr knows boxing and can train any fighter to get better. You obviously need talent, but if had a son that wanted to box i would want him to train him.

i think Both Mayweathers are overated they never give any usefull instructions in the corner what so ever they might be good trainers but they are not good cornermen IMO

i definitely think so, Roger is not a great trainer IMO, Floyd Sr. is the one who taught Jr everything he knows... he also improved ODLH defense

I think both are great trainers, Roger has worked with others who have won world titles and his record with Floyd speaks for itself sure Floyd hasnt fought the best of opposition at welter weight yet but he has still kept winning the DLH win is a good win in my opinion though it was a debatable win he still got the W in the end.
Lets see what happens if Floyd fights some of the best though that is the question we know Roger is a great trainer but how great is he? is Roger capable of guiding Floyd through a fire fight? time will tell.

For all the mega hype that Floyd (Jr and Sr) gets, I really don't think Roger is overrated, at least not in this forum.

I put yes but not because I think he is a bad trainer, he's good but not number one like many claim.. he really is only known for one fighter and that's Floyd Mayweather Jr.
I also don't believe he is the number one trainer alive right now.. I think Bernstein is.
Bernstein will build fighters from scratch and make them world champions.

I'd say Mayweather Sr. is better then Roger since he laid the foundation for Floyd, Roger came in later polished it up and improved his foot work. The only problem with Mayweather Sr. is that he teaches everybody that shoulder roll.. including seasoned fighters like De La Hoya, and under Mayweather Sr. DLH has looked his worst.
Defensive minded fighters are his specialty though and De La Hoya is a boxer puncher.
