I highly disaggree. Plus, who cares Delahoya is old man walking.

I see many trainers get over rated when there fighter win. But when they lose, they get put down.

Wayne McCullough is a very good trainer imo. He did great for the Orneals brothers too bad there not with him anymore.

And i think Freddie Roach did great with Delahoya, fight could have gone either way.

And no im not being sarcastic.

Which part do you disagree with? You don't think Mayweather Sr. is a good trainer for him?

Certainly better than Roach. That was not a good combination, at all.

EDIT: I guess your last post cleared up the Roach business.

I just think the advice about trying to go to the body was not good advice. It was getting Oscar away from his strengths. I guess we will see after the fight whether Roach had the better gameplan than Sr. did.

I remember what you had Cotto say in a post-fight interview.

"Floyd is a *****. He won't fight me. Next question."

          ahahaha

i can just literally hear buddy saying it, with his gold frames on bent over staring tarver in the face..

"just touch em, touch em, touch em... listen to me antonio... 3 minutes, can i get 3 minutes? you gotta stay focused!"

It's still the fighter's responsibility to find themself the trainer that suits their need and style.

Floyd basically trains himself at this point, and has since before Roger was brought on board. Roger's role in respect to him is as a mittman (he is a good one). Stylistically Roger and Floyd don't match up at all, Floyd Sr. is the only one who can be called Floyd's "trainer" in the literal sense of the word.

He reminds me of Enzo Calzaghe, great at training his own flesh and blood but seems not to put as much effort into training his fighters who aren't his blood. Thats not to knock either of them but you can tell that Enzo pushes Calzaghe harder and that Roger does the same for floyd...

                      DAMNIT!

I was wondering if I gave improper credit on that one.

                      Many apologies.

Great, great line by the way.
