I bet you Julio v. Chavez Jr. would be a very good fight one that Chavez Jr. imo can probably win. From what i've seen from both fighter they both are still developing but chavez already has some snap on his punchs. Julio's punching technique isn't that great but improved and he can really be a threat in welterweight division.
i dont know man joel its too fast for chavez jr
chavez jr cant even get off the ropes without taking at least 3 punches he needs more tune up fighters

Julio's punchs are not at maximum as least they look like he is not using proper technque to punch with full effect.

Jr. could take Julios punchs and i think the power department would be the same. I seen Smith hurt Julio to the ribs, Jr. power is his body shots and when he catchs his opponets he's starting to put combos together and his punching technqiue is better then Julios but i think right now Julio may throw more punchs then Jr. but i havn't seen Jrs last fight.

Nah, no way did Quintana ruin Julio. Quintana is a good boxer and beat him, but it wasn't a horrible type of beating that ruins a fighter i.e. Calz-Lacy or Tito-Vargas.

I noticed that in the Quintana fight too. In that fight Quintana had a lot of success with body shots. He landed clean head shots too but the ones that looked as if they hurt Julio were the body shots.

in his last fights jr has showed some improvement in his defense hes not taking 8 punches in a row without response also when he faced the italian he used his reach pretty well
but he is still awfully slow he depends on his one punch ko power
if he doesnt ko joel i cant see him getting a decision based on joel workrate
i really dont think hes ready when joel starts landing quick combinations hes gonna have that look on his face like wtf im doing here like in the celaya fight
he needs more tuneups let arum turn this kid into a star like he handled cotto career

He is definately vulnerable to a body attack..

He was wearing down pretty fast tonight as well..a 12rnd fight would have been very interesting..

yeah i wouldnt be surprised if he was on roids either but ishe lacks the mindset to become a good fighter hes just too inactive roger shoulda told him to land more punches
hopefully with his third defeat he will vanish into obscurity
about julio i was pretty impressed by him its the first time ive seen him fight i thought he was only a power puncher but he outboxed a pretty slick boxer in smith and showed hes got speed as well and really good reflexes and defense

Cosme Rivera beat Julio, but he was robbed. River had him hurt badly in the last round and even knocked him down. But Rivera was the same fighter who knocked down Berto and almost out on his feet.

It was an entertaining fight, but just like Hopkins-Calzaghe .. I gave it the loser.

I was ringside and really enjoyed this fight aswell. Good entertraining technical fight, seeing it live was just awsome. Yes Ishe did looks REALLY ripped in person.

I also wanna give a shouout to my boy Kevin Reynolds who's swing bout got aired. Congrads Kevin you did great, this is just the beggining you got a great future in this sport bro.
