Will Cottos chin hold up to Margaritos power???

according to Cotto's camp, the times he'd been hurt were mostly due to having to drain himself for weight. examples being the Corley and Torres fights. i doubt he would be able to handle a well placed hook from Margo though. I see Cotto gettin hurt at least once this fight.

I put points on Margarito because I think the relentless pressure from Margarito (who isn't exactly a soft puncher himself) is going to crack Cotto's chin open.

Yeah Judah stright clocked his ****..I was watching that fight like" I bet Cotto runs into one of those uppercuts" then boom...


Those are the shots that Floyd will land at will..Cotto literally runs into punches sometimes...

margarito has devioustating uppercuts.
figure cottos speed and footwork helps keep him safe.
both get stronger in later rounds.

Good analysis. Margarito's uppercut is a big key for him. There are too many factors for me to make a strong prediction. I'll just look forward to watching it.

I think Margarito's power is very overrated, hes a strong guy that will wear you down, but id say someone like Zab Judah was more dangerous than Margarito because he can put you out with one punch. The punches that put you out are the ones you dont see coming, and Miguel will be able to see Margaritos from miles away. Miguel just has to be ready for a long fight, i dont think he has to worry about getting knocked out.

Margarito just doesn't have the speed to hit Cotto flush on the chin his punches are too wide, I wouldn't be surprised if the fight turns out to be Cotto blowout.
