Chunk, I think you're going on with this a bit too much. It is one thing to call posters who post irrational and delusional threads nuthuggers, but you are getting close to simply adding anyone who has ever expressed a favourable opinion on Calzaghe.

Calzaghe fans are as entitled to post their thoughts as much as anyone else here, and really since Joe has just done what lots of people said he couldn't, they have every right to do so.

To those of you who don't like or rate Calzaghe, you have to remember that he is now the LHW and SMW ring champ, and the number of fighters who would start as favourite against him is shrinking rapidly. In the circumstances it is hardly surprising that a lot of people saying "I think calzaghe beats so and so", because when discussing 90% of the possible opposition out there for him that statement is shared by most boxing experts, broadcasters writers and objective fans out there.

You have to remember also, that lots of Calzaghe fans are, like you I think, from the UK, and in posting on this forum are entering a world dominated by US fans of US fighters, of whom there are a great many more, and a lot of whom have been disparaging Joe for quite a long time now. Again, it is not surprising that these UK posters choose to talk about the best fighter we have in the UK and about whom they probably know most about. This is a boxing forum, after all, and all types of true boxing fans should be welcome.

Come on, its not so often we get a two weight champion in the UK and its not so often we get a boxer who achieves that at all, Calzaghe, and all his fans deserve their moment in the sun right now, so come on, give them a break eh?

Yes, Hopkins beats Thompson at Cruiserweight. How much did Hopkins weigh against Tarver and Joe? Not an awful lot less than Thompson, that's for sure!

Thompson was a small cruiserweight and Hopkins is a big Light Heavy (slightly above average), Hopkins has a style which would **** Thompson up (he's not even that good). Hopkins> Thompson.
