Yet the most hated fighter here at 23 was fighting p4p undefeated king, diego chico corrales. what do you make of that?Amir Khan is 20 years old, he should be considered a prospect. His opposition have been above the standard most boxers face at this stage in their career.
If he's still doing it in five or six fights time, then I'll agree with you, but more likely than not he'll be fighting for a world title soon.Comment

I agree he has mostly fought opposition he could beat, but thats the norm for a young prospect. I think its too harsh to call him the most protected fighter in boxing. He's at the stage now where he's going to be taking meaningful fights soon, and if he avoids Casamayor, Campbell, Katsidis, Diaz etc then I'll be more than happy to agree with you.maybe but he has been blantently protected from punchers that IMO is why he stands alone as the most overprotected fighters today
it aint a coincidence he has had 15+ fights and hardly any of those fighers are into double figuers for Knockouts
its also no coincidence that after the Limond fight that strategy of avoiding punchers has stood firm
Give him a chance!

Mayweather was exceptional. The fact remains that Khan's record is decent for a boxer of his experience. If he avoids the big fights in future then I'll agree with you. Khan is only 20 and we might see him fight Casamayor, Katsidis, Diaz, Campbell and even Pacquaio before he turns 23.
Calling him protected right now is a little unfair. If he doesn't step it up in the future then it won't be.
