Is he a "top WW" at the moment? Yeah, sure... I guess.

Cotto is the better fighter, but he could lose to Margarito given how their styles match up. Floyd probably beats both of them fairly easily. You can be near the top of the WW division, but the peak is out of everybody's reach who isn't named Floyd.

Cotto is the superior fighter. He has faster hands, they hit arguably as hard as one another, he's got a big heart, good stamina, and he's got solid boxing skills. Tony has.... similar power, good stamina, and a good chin.... that's simple subtraction. However, his style lends itself to possibly beating Cotto as he'll walk him down and Cotto wont be on his back foot the whole night like Floyd would be.

And no, Floyd couldn't fly... but just because he can't doesn't mean he wouldn't take Margarito to school.

i think that the logical outcome of a MArgarito /Floyd fight would be Floyd by decision. My argument wasnt that Marg would beat him but that he righttfully deserved to fight him and stood a good chance, becuase of styles. he was the #1 ranked welter for a while. Floyd could probably box for 12 rounds and stay out of harms way, but we will never know I guess. Floyd needs to call out the winner of Cotto/ Margarito TO PROVE that he is the best and its not just a label someone gave him. IMO Cotto has a GREAT chance of beating Floyd..

dont look for Floyd to figth EITHER.. he knows its a risk...

He stopped three comming opponents and clearly beat (On the official score cards) Mosley who clearly beat DLH twice, while Mayweather Jr had a one point SD win over Oscar.
