If you do this, the fight becomes much more closer everytime you watch it.

That's how I came to the conclusion Hopkins won. When I first saw the fight with the volume up I had Joe winning by a point, but when there's no sound all of your attention goes directly into the two fighters and it becomes a much closer affair.

Please. What a ridiculous post. I am not a brainless twat who can't think for himself. I already watched the fight 8 or 9 times, btw.

The length of time you have been interested in boxing is slightly irrelevant. What matters is having a pair of eyes and more than a just couple of braincells.
I'll suspend my awareness for a minute and pretend you aren't a patently biased Joe Calzaghe fan..

You told me you watched the fight 8 times, is that right?

I don't know what these cats want from Bernard, really. In the words of Dave Chappelle "They forget that he's a nigg@ from Philly who might occasionally say some real ****.". And an ex-con ontop of that.

Now if Bernard had been beaten convincingly, if that ever will happen, I'm sure he'll be gracious, step down and retire. But when the fight is as close as this one was, he has every right to protest the decision.

I'd sure like to be the guy who's Calzaghe's next opponet though, Bernard shattered that entire "unstoppable" aura that surrounded him for so long. He looked average even in his best rounds.

Maybe not, but you have been extremely contentious, combative, and defensive about this situation.

Please expand more on the actual logistics and information behind your feeling - or are there none?

Absolutely, I felt that Hopkins was even somewhat reserved all things considered. He didn't even spend any extra time complaining. He said he felt he won, called Calzaghe out on some of the things he saw, answered a question or two and left as Calzaghe was taunting him like a teenager and walked out of the room.

Funny how Calzaghe can feign having **** sex after throwing a low blow, jump around in the ring making faces 'raising the roof,' and talk **** like some punk, and everyone is worried about Hopkins being Hopkins. Bernard was understated, if anything, at the post fight press conference.

At first I thought Calzaghe may have outworked Bernard in the middle rounds when I watched it live, but upon rewatching is several times I've see nothing but a Bernard Hopkins showcase.

It wasn't pretty, but nobody expected it to be. I thought Hopkins clearly won the first 4 rounds, In round 5 Joe started to do his thing and won rounds 5 and 6, 7 I scored for Hopkins, 8, 9 and 10 I gave to Calzaghe, 11 was close but I edged to Joe, and 12 I scored for Hopkins. 6 rounds a piece, with an extra point for the knockdown in round 1, 114-113 for Bernard Hopkins.

Calzaghe didn't impress me much at all, for the first 4 rounds he played right into Bernard's hands, and seemed reluctant to throw because he was wary of the right hand after being floored early when he was rushing in.

Basically, in a nutshell, Calzaghe chased Bernard, rush in and threw a bunch of slaps (seriously, Joe's a slapper, even Lederman caught onto this during a replay mid-fight), Bernard countered effectively and landed the cleaner, more telling blows.

All I know is in a fight, I'd rather be the guy who throws 460-some punches and lands 160-some solid, hard, effective shots on the button, than the guy who throws 600 slaps and lands 230 of them.

I'm glad you bring this up. I will ask you this question about the bolded subject.

Why do you think it is Hopkins' who has been getting ragged on about that incident, while nobody questions Joe's sexuality about it? I know I sure as **** wouldn't fake **** sex with a bent over opponet. Yet Calzaghe's fans act as if it's Bernard who's gay?
